Patient Oriented Knowledge Translation In Rehabilitation
It takes on average 14 to 17 years for research evidence to reach clinical practice. The lengthy lag time to translate research into practice not only results in potential harm to patients and lost opportunities to improve health in the general population, it also has important economic consequences. This presentation will explore what makes implementation of evidence-based rehabilitation interventions successful. The important roles of patients as research partners will be discussed.
