Michael Hunt, PhD, PT
University of British Columbia
Dr. Michael Hunt is an Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia, with research interests in clinical biomechanics as they relate to osteoarthritis pathogenesis and informing conservative treatment development. His group uses a combination of laboratory-based and wearable system approaches to quantify human movement, as well as to provide real-time feedback of movement performance as part of gait modification interventions. He is the lead of a pan-Canadian effort (GaitNet-OA Canada) to establish harmonious biomechanics data collection and analysis procedures needed to build large, multicenter biomechanics datasets. He has also worked with a number of international collaborators from Australia, Europe, and Asia to combine biomechanics data to answer key clinical and research questions.
